The Empowered To Connect Conference, featuring Trust-Based Relational Intervention® methods developed by Dr. Karyn Purvis and Dr. David Cross from the TCU Institute of Child Development, is a two-day conference designed for parents and child-welfare professionals, as they help children from hard places heal and bring attachment and connection in families.
This conference is ideal for adoptive and foster parents, those considering adoption or foster care and those who are serving and supporting others, including social workers, agency professionals, church staff and ministry leaders, counselors, therapists and others involved in adoption and foster care ministries or services.
Conference sessions will be held
April 13 - 14, 2017 from 10am-6pm on both days,
with “on your own” lunch breaks scheduled from 1:15-2:15 pm.
This event is FREE; however, registration is required.
All participants are encouraged to download a free copy of the workbook/viewing guide prior to this event. This guide includes a schedule and conference notes. You may either print the viewing guide (50+ pages) ahead of time, or you may access it from your mobile device during the event.
No child care will be provided. Due to the sensitive nature of the topic, we ask that young children do not attend.
